Lutz Henckels

Chairman of the Board and CEO

Lutz has over 25 years experience managing high-tech businesses. In these roles, he raised over $50 million of venture capital and organically grew each business multi-fold, eventually taking two public and successfully selling two others. These include HBB Systems, LeCroy Corporation, and SyntheSys Research. He holds a B.S., M.S. (Electrical Engineering), and Ph.D. (Computer Science) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate from Harvard Business School's OMP program. He is also a Venture Partner with Alara Capital.

Andre P. Willis

Founder and CTO

His 30 years of product development work has resulted in numerous technology patents in the United States, Germany, Europe, and Japan. Most recently, Andre worked at SyntheSys Research, a Menlo Park, CA signal integrity test equipment company, where he was Chief Scientist. He was Vice President of System Development at Guzik Technical Enterprises in Mountain View, CA, and held similar positions at WEE Electrotest Engineering and ATG Test Systems in Germany. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Fizteh) with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics.

Clint Fincher

Principal Engineer and Co-Founder

Clint's skills in the areas of embedded system design, FPGA and ASIC design, and his proficiencies in various computer languages enable him to contribute to hardware and software product design at the highest levels. Clint's recent experience at SyntheSys Research in Menlo Park, CA as Senior Engineer has resulted in several patents. Previously, Clint worked at Ampex Data Systems in Redwood City, CA as a design engineer, and at Audicon Design Laboratories. He graduated with honors from Texas A&M University, where he was an Engineering Scholar.

Guy Foster

Vice President of Marketing

With broad experience in electronics from defense surveillance to high speed digital, Guy has fulfilled roles from R&D to direct sales. Most recently at test equipment companies including Agilent, Tektronix, and SyntheSys Research, he has led teams responsible for product definition, product launch, and lead generation activities. Guy holds a Bachelors Degree in Physics and a PhD. in Electronic Engineering.

Craig Hartwig

Vice President of Sales

Craig is an accomplished sales executive with a history of achieving strong revenue growth at technology companies such as SyntheSys Research, Tektronix, and LeCroy. He was also a Major Accounts executive selling to utility customers for A. B. Chance. Craig holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.

Rob Howard

Vice President of Operations

Rob has over seventeen years of operational experience in the automotive industry, and a further seven years in solar. The last three and a half of those were spent at Enphase Energy where he was the Senior Director of Global Manufacturing, overseeing a significant expansion in production volumes. He has worked for United Technologies, Daimler, Chrysler and General Motors. He has international experience having worked in Asia, Mexico, Spain, Germany and the U.K.. Rob has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago; he is also a Six Sigma certified Master Black Belt (MBB). He has held positions in Quality, Operations Management, Supplier Quality and Commodity Management.

John Berdner

Vice President of Regulatory Compliance

John has a strong industry track record with leadership roles at companies such as SMA America, SolarEdge Technologies, and most recently Enphase Energy. He is active in many Codes and Standards groups including IEEE 1547, UL 1741, National Electrical Code, and the CA Smart Inverter Working Group.  He also  provides technical knowledge to policy groups such as CalSEIA and DERC Hawaii.
