HiQ has decades of industry experience in hi-tech, with a veteran team from test and measurement, automotive and renewable energy. 


Rob Howard

Chief Executive Officer

Rob has over seventeen years of operational experience in the automotive industry, and a further nine years in solar. Three and a half of those were spent at Enphase Energy where he was the Senior Director of Global Manufacturing, overseeing a significant expansion in production volumes. He has worked for United Technologies, Daimler, Chrysler and General Motors. He has international experience having worked in Asia, Mexico, Spain, Germany and the U.K.. Rob has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago; he is also a Six Sigma certified Master Black Belt (MBB).


Clint Fincher

Principal Engineer and Co-Founder

Clint, skills in the areas of embedded system design, SVGA and ASIC design, and his proficiencies in various computer languages enable him to contribute to hardware and software product design at the highest levels. flints recent experience at SyntheSys Research in Menlo Park, CA as Senior Engineer has resulted in several patents. Previously, Clint worked at Ampex Data Systems in Redwood City, CA as a design engineer, and at Audicon Design Laboratories. He graduated with honors from Texas A&M University, where he was an Engineering Scholar


Ray Erbeznik

Senior Director of Product Management

Ray has 28 years of diverse experience in automotive, energy conversion and renewable product development helping companies transform from a R&D stage to commercial product launch and beyond. Most recently, he served as Director of Program Management at Pinnacle Engines a San Francisco Bay area start up developing ultra-high efficiency 4 stroke opposed piston engine technology for Asian Pacific motorcycle, rickshaw and automotive OEM’s.  Previously, at Infinia, he served for 23 years in many key roles within senior management, engineering, marketing and business development developing Stirling engine and cooler based energy conversion products for a wide range of markets from residential micro combined heat and power to utility scale solar power systems. Ray graduated with honors from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.


Andre P. Willis

Founder and CTO

His 30 years of product development work has resulted in numerous technology patents in the United States, Germany, Europe, and Japan Most recently, Andre worked at SyntheSys Research, a Menlo Park, CA signal integrity test equipment company, where he was Chief Scientist He was Vice President of System Development at Curtis Technical Enterprises in Mountain View, CA, and held similar positions at WEE Electrotest Engineering and ATG Test Systems in Germany He graduated from Moscow InstitMe of Physics and Technology (Firteh) with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics


John Hoang

Chief Financial Officer

John brings over twenty-five years of finance and operational experience to HiQ, including over twenty years with several venture-capital backed high growth enterprises. He has extensive background in mergers & acquisitions (both buy-side and sell-side), and equity/debt financing. Prior to joining HiQ Solar, John served as CFO for Uproxx Media Group (sold to Warner Music Group), Klutch (sold to strategic investor), HitFix (sold to Woven Digital), LeisureLink (sold to VacationRoost), Gumiyo (sold to Talus Labs). Prior to these roles, John held senior finance roles at Yahoo!, Overture Services and QAD. He began his career with a Big 6 accounting firm Arthur Andersen (CPA, inactive).


Chuck Abronson


Chuck founded Amplica, Inc. in 1972, a developer and manufacturer of electronic equipment for defense electronics and telecommunication systems and, as its CEO, led the company through its IPO and eventual merger with Communication Satellite Corp. (COMSAT) in 1982. In 1983 he founded EEsof, Inc., the dominant provider of EDA software for microwave/RF electronics, which was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 1993. In 1998, as Chairman and a founder of CAP Wireless, a manufacturer of high-power millimeter and microwave amplifiers for telecom and defense systems, he provided its startup capital and managed its merger with TriQuint Semiconductor (now Qorvo) in 2013. Chuck also invested in and served on the board of early stage technology companies, often as partner in the New Enterprise Associates VC firm. In addition to HiQ, he is currently a board member of Aggregage, a B2B media company. Chuck started his career as a microwave engineer at Aerojet General Corp where he held key technical and management positions, and then became Director of Solid-State Products at E&M Laboratories. He holds several patents in the field of microwave systems and components. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, Chuck also completed the Executive MBA program at the UCLA School of Management.
